AXIS Engineering Case Study

Project Background

The client required a lighting upgrade for a commercial supermarket environment. The existing lighting system lacked flexibility in light direction and could not effectively balance general illumination and shelf lighting. In addition, energy efficiency and visual comfort were key requirements for long daily operating hours.

 

Solution

AXIS Adjustable Linear Lighting System

The AXIS series was selected for its linear modular design and adjustable lighting angle. With a 30° adjustable beam direction, AXIS allows the light output to be directed to the left or right, making it suitable for both ambient lighting and targeted shelf illumination within the same system.

Adjustable Angle Design

AXIS’s adjustable structure enables precise control of light distribution without changing fixture positions. This flexibility allows optimized lighting layouts for aisles, product displays, and circulation areas, improving overall lighting efficiency and visual clarity.

Optical Performance

The system provides neutral white light (3500–4000K) with high color rendering, enhancing product visibility and creating a comfortable shopping environment.

Installation Efficiency

The trunking and mounting structure are fully manufactured in accordance with European standards, ensuring precise mechanical compatibility, stable installation, and consistent quality.

For installers and project owners, this translates into faster installation, fewer installation errors, and reliable long-term performance, especially in large-scale commercial projects.

Final Results

  • Overall illuminance increased by more than 100%
  • Improved vertical illumination on shelves and displays
  • Energy consumption reduced by approximately 40–45%
